Presbyopia could be avoidable!

Do you ever wonder why most people require reading glasses when they reach 40-50 years of age? This study aims to investigate the mechanism that drives presbyopia, the normal age related loss of near-focusing ability.

What's involved?

This study will involve undergoing an initial one hour eye examination and a subsequent one to two hour MRI scan. We will offer you a copy of your eye exam results and your brain MRI scan

Location: University of Auckland Optometry Clinic and Centre for Advanced MRI, Grafton Campus.

We are looking for participants who:

  • Are in their early 20s or early 40s
