Pharmacy PhD candidate Robert Haua is enjoying leading his own research while learning and consolidating his knowledge along the way.
“Looking at how pharmacist integration into General Practice improves health outcomes has been very rewarding. Research can facilitate a move towards change and have a real impact on the healthcare system.”
“I have a passion for research, especially where it contributes to the progression of the pharmacy profession. It is great to be able to lead my own research while learning and consolidating my research skills along the way.
“Completing a PhD allows me to learn a brand new set of research skills and further develop those I currently have. I’m looking forward to working alongside the University of Auckland staff as they are experts in their fields.
“I hope this qualification will open up opportunities in academia or healthcare-related policy, which I could pursue while maintaining a role as a clinical pharmacist.
“Having studied at the University of Auckland as an undergraduate student, I know that the University offers a supportive and friendly environment for all students and is committed to assisting students to excel in their given fields of study.”
