CDES Business Career Expo Event as iCalendar
01 March 2018
10:30am - 2:30pm
Venue: Level 0, OGGB
Location: 12 Grafton Road
Are you ready to create your future? Mark Zuckerberg created Facebook at 19, Steve Jobs started Apple when he was 21…it’s never too early to prepare.
"By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail." - Benjamin Franklin
The Business Career Expo is here to kick off the semester in style. This is one of our biggest annual events, so don’t miss out on the opportunity to meet with employers who want to talk to you! All faculties and all years are welcome.
Why attend the Business Expo
Find out how your degree can build the foundations for a career in a multitude of industries. Technology companies seek commerce students, professional service companies want arts, science and commerce students, and many public sector organisations hire across the board.
Employers are looking for students who can bring agile thinking and creativity to their business, so be open-minded and talk to companies you might not normally associate with your area of study.
Which employers are attending the event?
30 organisations are attending the expo, spanning multiple industries and sectors. Showing you have carried out research prior to the expo will thoroughly impress them!
More than 97% of 2017 student expo attendees stated they would attend events like this in the future! Don’t just take our word for it - here’s what they said:
“Meeting and talking to Xero representatives has moved me more towards a career in Data Analytics” – Arts student
“As a planner it was really good to talk to Auckland Transport and Auckland Council” - NICAI student
“Awesome to see so many opportunities that I didn't even know about” - Business & Economics student
“Getting to talk to employees was so helpful” - CAI student
There’s need to register for this event, just turn up on the day. Do, however, sign up for the concurrent speaker sessions before they fill up (to be confirmed - check back soon for more info).
This event is exclusively for University of Auckland students. Don’t forget to bring your student ID!
