Seeing or requesting copies of your submitted exams

How can I get a copy of my exam after it has been graded?

As a student, you can see or request a copy of your final exam once it has been graded so you can keep a copy for your own reference.

The exam copy will include the questions and the answers you wrote on your exam or the digital version of what was submitted. Scripts are not annotated in the grading process so you won’t see any comments or correct answers when it has been graded.

If your exam was computer-based on Inspera

  • Students who sat their exams on Inspera don’t need to make a request.
  • Simply log into your Inspera dashboard and you will be able to see your submitted exam script under the Archive tab.

If your exam was online on Canvas

  • Students who sit their exams on Canvas will be able to see their exam on Canvas once it has been graded, just like normal assignments.
  • If you cannot see your exam and you know they have been graded, please email exams@auckland.ac.nz

If your exam was paper-based

  • Students can request a copy at any time up to three months after the final date of the official University exam period. As exams scripts are unique to each student, your request may take up to five weeks depending on when the exams are graded and the volume of requests.
  • If you can’t see your course on the request form this usually means that your exam script is automatically sent to you once it is graded. See which course exams are sent automatically here
  • All exam scripts are stored for four months after the exam period before being destroyed.
