Comedy on Campus terms and conditions

The University of Auckland Comedy on Campus Event, 4 August 2016

  1. Registrations close on Friday 29 July 2016 at 5pm. Late entries and on-the-night sign ups will be at the discretion of the Event Manager.
  2. At least one member of each act must be a current enrolled student at the University of Auckland. Such member must make a substantive contribution to the act’s performance.
  3. Time allowed on stage is as follows:
    o   Solo up to 5 minutes.
    o   Duo/group sketch up to 7 minutes.
  4. Each act must ensure that they are fully prepared to commence performance at the designated time. Each act must ensure that they do not exceed the performance time limit. Judging penalties will occur if an act runs over time.
  5. Judges decisions are final and no correspondence, discussion, debate, will be entered into.
  6. The winning acts will be awarded a prize.
  7. While all care shall be taken in running the competition, no liability whatsoever shall be accepted by the University for any loss arising as a consequence of the competition.
  8. The University of Auckland respects freedom of expression but this does not permit an act or performance which vilifies any person or group of people and which brings the University into disrepute. A breach of this term is a breach of the Student Discipline Statute. Students who breach this term may be referred to the University’s Discipline Committee
  9. Entry in the competition means acceptance of all terms and conditions of entry as described herein. Performers entering the competition give the University of Auckland permission to use the acts name, the contestant’s performance and likeness for such promotional purposes as the University of Auckland sees fit.
  10. Intoxicated competitors will not be permitted to perform.
