The Judith Binney – Te Tomairangi o Te Aroha Prize in Aotearoa New Zealand History was established in 2012 by the Department of History, colleagues, friends, students and alumni as a lasting memorial which will honour the work of the late Professor Dame Judith Binney.

This Prize aims to encourage and reward student achievement in, and commitment to, Aotearoa New Zealand History at the undergraduate level.
