There is a genuine concern about the slide or slump that many kiwi students experience in literacy scores over the summer holiday period. In an effort to combat this ‘summer slide’ we have designed a novel, digital blogging programme, to be launched in 54 primary schools this summer. We, at Woolf Fisher, are inviting a summer scholar to engage in an aspect of the evaluation for this programme. The scholar will have considerable freedom to focus on an area of personal interest within the field of literacy programme evaluation. This project would suit an individual with an interest in programme evaluation, digital programming, student achievement and/or literacy education.
