Kiri-Ann Olney

Development Manager, Science

I joined the University of Auckland in February 2014 as the Development Manager for the Faculty of Science, having spent the last five years working for St John’s College, University of Oxford. Previously, I worked for several other non-profit organisations including Oxfam GB and Refugees International.

I have been very impressed by the fascinating research that is taking place at the Faculty of Science and by its talented academic staff and students. I am so pleased to have the opportunity to help secure the funding needed to continue its important work.

Science is a discipline of discovery and innovation. I feel passionately about ensuring that the next generation of students has the opportunity to gain essential skills and knowledge, and that academics have the resources they need to explore some of the world's most challenging questions. I believe that no other discipline will have such a fundamental impact on our future.

When I am not working, I am off exploring New Zealand with my husband, and enjoying all that this beautiful country has to offer.
