Development Manager, Engineering
PH: + 64 9 923 9039
At this stage in my career I have realised that I have probably not got what it takes to be a brain surgeon, a global CEO or an earthquake engineer. What I am fortunate enough to be able to do, is work with the University’s incredible alumni, friends and industry partners to support our students and staff to positively influence our economy, society and environment.
Prior to joining the Faculty of Engineering, I worked at the University of Auckland Business School where I spent nearly seven years in both student engagement and development roles. Before that I lived in the UK where the early part of my career was spent in the financial services industry in London.
I joined the University of Auckland when I moved to New Zealand in 2009. It was a desire to help young people and to make a difference that led me to a change of career. This is still what motivates me today.
In my spare time I can generally be found out running, playing golf or walking the bush and beaches of Auckland with my wife and my dog.
This is an incredibly exciting time for the Faculty of Engineering. I look forward to working with you to ensure our students have the skills and knowledge, and our staff have the necessary resources, to have a lasting impact on the challenges and opportunities we all face in a complex and rapidly changing world.
