Campus Connections Aotearoa - youth mentoring programme

Campus Connections Aotearoa | Tūhono Aiopīpī is a transformative youth mentoring programme, for at-risk young people excluded from mainstream education, designed to help develop capability and resilience.

The programme addresses a significant gap in positive youth development service provision for young people in alternative education who have a range of complex needs. What is unique about this intervention is that the 13- to 16-year-olds in the programme are supported by a ‘wrap around’ service of not only mentoring, but also group-based prosocial activities and counselling in a supervised, youth-friendly setting.

After completing the programme, each young person is then supported to move into other social services, youth development programmes, education and/or employment opportunities. Your gift will help amazing young people receive intensive therapeutic mentoring from student mentors, counsellors and social workers from the Faculty of Education and Social Work.
