The Bruce McClaren Centre
Our vision is bold: We want to build on all aspects of Bruce McLaren’s legacy, and use that to inspire young people and leading researchers to work on problems that matter to the world.
We need to establish a Bruce McLaren Centre within the University of Auckland that will act as a focus for New Zealand’s top engineering expertise and stand as a testament to Bruce McLaren’s international achievements. It will bring together and build on current research strengths in Innovative Manufacturing, Advanced Materials and Engineering Design.
The Centre will also include the Bruce McLaren Automotive Scholarships giving students the chance to follow in Bruce’s footsteps with a placement at McLaren’s global headquarters in the UK each year.
