Faculty Staffing Committee

The Faculty Staffing Committee (FSC) convenes to consider and make recommendations on permanent sub-professorial academic staff appointments, sub-professorial continuations, sub-professorial promotions and research and study leave.

The FSC, chaired currently by the Dean, comprises academic staff (professorial and sub-professorial) representing departments within our Faculty, one member from another Faculty as an external representative, an HR member and an EEO representative. For promotions and continuations the presence of one member of the University Academic Staffing Committee (UASC) is also required.

The FSC makes recommendations to the Dean who will then make a final decision (or recommendation for AP promotion applications).
