Terms of reference

  • Approve and adopt key faculty strategies in relation to teaching and learning and research.
  • Approve new programmes for submission to the University committees.
  • Approve new and/or amended academic regulations according to University policy.
  • Approve organisational structures for the faculty.
  • Approve faculty submissions responding to draft University policies.
  • Consider and approve recommendations from Faculty Committees, including Terms of Reference.
  • Receive and respond to the Dean’s and Associate Deans' reports.
  • Receive reports from Faculty representatives on University Senate sub-committees.
  • Receive and respond to minutes from faculty-wide committee meetings.
  • Recommend Terms of Reference and Membership to Senate for approval.
  • Discuss items relevant to the faculty.
