Peer Review of Teaching

Peer review of teaching is available to staff in the Business School by trained peer reviewers.

An informal peer review may be requested at any time for professional development purposes. New to School staff who are teaching require a formal review during their first year in the Faculty. Staff who are submitting continuation and promotion applications to the Faculty Staffing Committee also need a peer review report completed.

The report produced by the peer reviewer will be provided to the reviewee only. The only time a report will be sent to the HoD or Dean is where the HoD or Dean has requested a review of a teaching member of staff.

Detailed information about the formal peer review process is available below. Staff wishing to request a review should email Innovative Learning and Teaching at ilt@auckland.ac.nz
