Welcome from the Associate Dean Equity
The Auckland Law School is committed to maintaining and promoting an inclusive, supportive and safe environment for staff and students from all backgrounds.
Equity in our faculty
Welcome to the Equity page. As Associate Dean Equity, my role is to promote and monitor adherence to the University’s Equity policies for staff and students. In this, I work together with many colleagues, especially the University's Equity Office, the Law School’s Associate Deans Maori and Pasifika, our Equity Group and AULSS’s Equity Officer.
I want us to do all we can to allow every one of you to experience Auckland Law School as an inclusive, supportive and safe place. This includes a firm commitment to implementing and continuously improving our policies that promote equal opportunities for all.
Our targeted admissions schemes for Māori and Pasifika students, students with disabilities, from low socio-economic backgrounds and from refugee backgrounds, and the associated support programmes, are an important part of this.
