New Pathways Agreement with the University of Cambridge

The Auckland Faculty of Law is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Faculty of Law at the University of Cambridge.

Auckland and Cambridge have recently concluded a pathways agreement which will enable some of Auckland’s high achieving students to commence either a Cambridge LLM or Masters in Corporate Law (MCL) in their last year of their LLB degree. Instead of completing the final semester of law at Auckland students will undertake either the LLM or MCL. Upon successful completion, students will be awarded degrees from both institutions.

The University of Cambridge has established similar agreements with leading Australian and South African law schools, but it is the first time it has set up a pathways programme with a New Zealand law school.

Dean of the Faculty of Law, Professor Pene Mathew said that she is “delighted that our top students will have the opportunity to extend their studies at one the world’s leading universities and that the agreement strengthens the very warm relationship the Faculty has with Cambridge”.
