Pacific Academic and Support Adviser
The Pacific academic and support adviser provides students with cultural, pastoral and academic support while at Auckland Law School.
Sosefina Faamausili, Pacific academic and support adviser
Sosefina Faamausili is the Auckland Law School’s Pacific academic and support adviser. Whether you are a prospective or current Law student, Sosefina is there to provide you with academic and cultural support. She is able to talk to you about entry requirements for both Part I and Part II, and give you advice about how to structure your degree. Support is also available if you are a Law graduate looking to continue your studies at postgraduate level.
The Pacific Academic Support Strategies (PASS) Programme
The Pacific Academic Support Strategies (PASS) programme was developed to support Part I, II and III Law students. The programme consists of tutorials and workshops which are run regularly throughout the academic year. These focus on developing students’ legal academic writing skills, and enhancing academic performance.
Pacific Honours Club (PHC)
The Pacific Honours Club generally engages Part II students and is designed to foster and cultivate the standard of excellence required to gain entry into the LLB (Hons) degree.
For current students contemplating what to do with their Law Degrees, a number of PASS Professional Development events are organised, often in conjunction with the Pacific Island Law Students Association (PILSA) to assist students with their preparation for entry into the profession.
You can contact the Pacific Academic Counsellor or the Faculty Student Adviser for assistance.
