Maternal and Perinatal Central Coordinating Research Hub (CCRH)

The CCRH is a one-stop-shop for methodological, data management and bio-statistical resources and expertise to support maternal and perinatal clinical trials around New Zealand and the world.

Based at the Liggins Institute, the CCRH runs in collaboration with the University’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and the Department of Paediatrics: Child and Youth Health. It works closely with the ON TRACK Network.

The CCRH aims to support best practice in clinical trials. It can help you streamline the process of setting up and running a trial, as well as providing affordable randomisation and data management solutions.

The overall goal of the CCRH is to build the infrastructure and resources needed to increase and improve maternal and perinatal research capacity throughout New Zealand.

Visit the wiki site for the full range of support services and resources.

How the CCRH works

The core team is made up of research nurses, developers, database managers, statisticians and research assistants. Activities are overseen by an Operations Management Committee who have broad clinical trials experience. The CCRH team undertakes work on a cost-recovery basis and can provide quotes for grant submissions.

CCRH Services

The CCRH team can advise on trial design, set up and management, and has particular expertise in pregnancy and neonatal studies, as well as long-term follow-up of perinatal trial participants.

The team can also arrange analysis of study specimens through the Liggins’ laboratory, and offers a range of guides and resources to help with planning and running clinical trials. Visit the wiki site to access the resources.
