For students taking exams who were affected by the transport network issue on the 19th of June.

If you feel that disruptions to your rail travel plans today affected your ability to complete your exam, then please contact exams@auckland.ac.nz with the following information:

  1. Your Student ID number
  2. The exam course code
  3. Which public transport line or service you were using
  4. The time of the delay and the impact it had on you

Once we receive this information we will review each response on a case-by-case basis and will advise students individually of any additional information required to complete their aegrotat consideration applications.

Auckland Transport information

Auckland Transport has notified the University that the disruptions over the last couple of weeks have been caused by Temporary Speed Restrictions (TSRs) placed on sections of track by Kiwirail, this is to allow urgent maintenance which is affecting Eastern and Southern Line Services.

Since the 18th of June AT and Transdev has been proactive in publishing the expected (and known) cancellations for the next morning, on their websites daily.

We are aware that transport (rail/bus) network delays today may have affected some students taking exams.

We would like to reassure our students that they will not be disadvantaged due to this issue. We are currently working through the best way to support our students and will provide an update shortly on the University Website and Student Portal.
