Event compliance and approvals

Event Coordination Group

The Event Coordination Group (ECG) provides oversight of University events to ensure compliance with the University Event Management policy and event-related legislation. They also provide a support framework for the successful delivery of Events.

The ECG meets fortnightly to review upcoming events run by both staff and students. They ensure events are compliant and include such topics as:

  • event plans
  • risk assessments
  • hazard analysis
  • contracts with third parties
  • alcohol management and applications for licence or permit required.

To ensure your event is compliant, please fill in the Event Notification Form (linked below) in order for ECG to review at their next meeting.

For further information, and for help with issues with your event, please contact the Event Coordination Group

Health and safety at your event

To help with Health and Safety requirements for your event, we've made a video for the types of things you should think about. As part of our compliance, we need to record that you've watched the video and been provided with information. Click the link below to fill out your details and watch the Health and Safety video for events.
