Business School welcomes The Deli

Bringing New York style deli dining with a Kiwi twist, The Deli is an exciting new addition to OGGB (Level 1). With a focus on fresh, high quality local products, The Deli will offer a large selection of cabinet food complemented by an a la carte menu.

The menu includes bagels, sandwiches, grilled cheese toasties and all-day breakfast items along with four of five daily salads on a rotation basis, and caters to a variety of dietary requirements. Four Origin coffee is available courtesy of Eight Thirty, whose local roastery is based on Anzac Avenue.

Opening hours during semester are 7am-6pm (weekends on requests only).

Fresh fruit & vegetables available weekly

Fresh fruit and vegetables will now be available in the Quad (City Campus) on a weekly basis during semester.

Grocery Box is a student led initiative, offering fresh produce, pre-packed and designed for those on a budget. Order by 8pm on a Tuesday evening for collection on a Thursday at City Campus quad between 10am-5pm.

Hollywood bakery now open

Hollywood Espresso Metro is now open on City Campus in the Student Quad. Their extensive range of food and beverage choices includes coffee, freshly baked goods, sandwiches, pies and a minimum of two daily salads. As well as a Budgie Meal, they have put together some exclusive opening specials for their University of Auckland store. These include:

  • $9 for any pie, value sandwich and small beverage/coffee
  • $1 muffin if you purchase a coffee
  • $5 for any pie and small beverage/coffee
  • $6 for any slice/cake and small beverage/coffee

Opening hours: Monday-Friday 7.30am-5pm (semester) and 8am-4pm (semester break)

Barilla dumplings arrive on City Campus

The famous Barilla dumplings of Dominion Road have now made it to City Campus. Offering a range of dumplings – pork, beef, lamb, chicken and vegetable – as well as steamed buns, the menu offers small packs (8 pieces) and regular packs (15 pieces) with prices starting at $6. Barilla will have a Budgie Meal on offer during semester - please check in store for weekly specials.

Introducing ubiq (formerly UBS)

Formerly UBS, ubiq is the rebranded and newly renovated bookshop on City Campus, which can be found on level 1 of the Kate Edger Information Commons. 

Did you know that ubiq buy and sell second-hand textbooks that have been prescribed for the current semester at the University of Auckland up to a pre-determined quantity? More information can be found in store.

Opening hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am-5.30pm, Saturday 10am-4pm

Healthy vending arrives on City Campus

The Grab Goodness machine is a result of Campus Life staff working closely with nutritionists and registered dietitians to find healthier alternatives to snacks on campus.

Every product has a Health Star Rating of 3.5 or greater. The star system encourages people to make healthier choices: the more stars, the better the nutrition profile.

Products include popcorn, Bluebird thins, bliss balls, smooch balls, cranberry mix, raw nuts, steak bars, Fresh & Fruity pouches, cheese and crackers, Homegrown pouches, coconut water, Charlie's fruit smoothies, and more.

The Grab Goodness machine is easily spotted with its green branding, and operates by card transactions only.
