Weekly Bootcamp sessions at Newmarket Campus on behalf of Sport and Recreation.

Cost: $55 for full 6 weeks

Class Description
Bootcamp A 45 min circuit style workout performing a variety of exercises to increase strength and stamina. A variety of body weight and equipment will be used with no workout the same. This will be of  higher intensity.
Finish the workout with a 10minute conditioning sesison.

Fitness instructor: Kaya Campi

Kaya is a fitness and dance teacher who is passionate about wellness education and practice. Her Masters research looked at the wellness benefits of dance and has allowed her to work with New Zealand’s rugby league team as well as a variety of cultures overseas. Kaya is excited to meet you and support you in achieving your wellness goals.

We sat down with Kaya and asked her a few questions about her health and fitness journey.

Where are you from?
Born in Zurich, Switzerland and moved to Tauranga at five years old.

How did you get into the fitness industry?
My mum runs her own fitness and dance business so I pretty much grew up in a gym.

What is your favourite style of training?
I love to dance and I enjoy Pilates and weight training

What are some everyday things that motivate you?
I love what I do and those I work with so it’s hard not to be motivated.

What’s your favourite quote or mantra you can’t live without?
Create the body you want or accept the body you have.

How would you best define your health and fitness philosophy?
I think everyone’s wellness journey is completely different. I’m all about listening to your body and doing what feels right for you. What works for me may not work for you and that is completely fine.

Ultimate guilty pleasure?
Pasta & chocolate brownies, although I don’t feel very guilty about it!
