Key player

Holly Marx is a very important player for the Engineering Eagles, having played for the UoA Tertiary Team since 2019 and winning UoA Futsal Player of the Year in 2020. Holly is also currently sitting at the top of the Golden Boot table.

  • If Engineering Eagles win women’s futsal this year, they will be the faculty to have won IFC Women’s Futsal the most since 2010 (a total of 4 times).
  • If the Science Spartans win this year, it will be the first time ever science would have won the tournament.

Arts Alligators signed Mike Antamanov this year who has been a very important player for them between the sticks. Mike won MVP and golden glove for the 2020 Futsal SuperLeague and is a nominee for Men’s New Zealand Futsal Player of the year for the 2020/2021 season.

  • If the Arts Alligators win this year, it will be the first time since 2010 that the Arts Alligators have won gold at IFC Men’s Futsal.
  • If the Engineering Eagles win this year, it will be their 7th time winning the tournament.

Matt Drury is a first-year who has been a welcome addition to the defending champion Commerce Cougars. Coming in at over 23 points per game, Matt brings some size and athleticism to the Commerce Cougars' frontcourt and hopes to bring another title to the Commerce Cougars.

  • The Commerce Cougars are the defending champions and beat Law by 18 points in pool play and are hoping to replicate that in tonight's final and go back to back.
  • Coming off a year away from the final, the Law Lions are looking to get back to winning ways and reclaim their title from 2020.
