About the Audiology Teaching Clinic

We are a teaching clinic for Audiology students studying for their Master’s of Audiology professional degree.

As a leading research and student training clinic for Audiology students seeking to become Audiology health professionals, the clinic provides a hands-on learning environment for future Audiology health professionals to develop evidence-based clinical skills. Students are supervised by experienced professional teaching fellows from the Master’s of Audiology programme to offer members of the public affordable, personalized hearing health advice and support.

What we do

Our student clinicians conduct supervised comprehensive hearing assessments to provide individualized support to assist clients with the appropriate hearing protection and/or offer improved hearing solutions. The clinic also supports the clinical teaching of vestibular function by directly supporting students through diagnostic assessment to assess, diagnose and support a healthy vestibular system.

Over the last two decades, the University of Auckland’s Audiology Clinic has also made a strong contribution to tinnitus practice. We are now building on this by focussing on clinical research funded through research grants and contracts.

A range of projects that may suit different participants become available periodically. We maintain a volunteer database so we can let people know about the ongoing research and eligibility for trials.
