Mental Health Awareness Week 2019

Be kind and take time this Mental Health Awareness Week!

Mental Health Awareness Week runs from Monday 23 through to Friday 27 September, and there is plenty happening across the University campuses.

This year the theme is Be kind, take time, highlighting the importance of hanging with friends, being supportive, and being available to listen to any worries or concerns they might have. The University knows how important open it is to reach out to each other if you need to talk and hopes that the week of events will help normalise these interactions.

If you are keen to find out more, or get involved, check back on this page in the coming weeks, and find out what's happening around campus near you!

Talk to a friend or colleague

Talking to people about the state of their mental health, or your own, helps to break down the stigma surrounding mental illness and may help you to feel better.
