Research Strategy and Integrity Office (ORSI)

The Office of Research Strategy and Integrity (ORSI) was established in 2018 to support the work of the Deputy Vice Chancellor Research and the University's Research Committee in: 

  • developing and implementing strategies and policies to maintain and increase the University's research funding;
  • facilitating a vibrant, productive and ethical research environment;
  • shaping the University's response to a changing research landscape;
  • and enhancing Auckland's standing as a research-intensive, world-leading institution.

We also support the University with:

  • Research ethics and integrity
  • Animal health and wellbeing

Director, Research Strategy and Integrity

The Director Research Strategy and Integrity leads ORSI, and works to develop a shared and ambitious vision for research across the University through the alignment of the University’s Research Strategy, and the plans and interests of faculties, LSRIs, UniServices and relevant service divisions.

Strategic Planning Research Manager

The Strategic Research Planning Manager, with the support of the Strategic Portfolio Coordinator, leads the roll-out of new and emerging strategic research initiatives aligned to the University’s Research Strategy, and oversees the development of large-scale interdisciplinary grant applications, for which a measure of coordination will maximise the chance of success.

Strategic Portfolio Coordinator (Research)

The Strategic Portfolio Coordinator coordinates and facilitates strategic research projects, initiatives and events. The Strategic Portfolio Coordinator also promotes research recognition and reward opportunities, supports eligible researchers to develop high quality applications and coordinates internal research excellence award rounds.
