Office of Research Strategy and Integrity (ORSI)

The Office of Research Strategy and Integrity (ORSI) was established in 2018 to support the work of the Deputy Vice Chancellor Research and the University's Research Committee in: 

  • developing and implementing strategies and policies to maintain and increase the University's research funding;
  • facilitating a vibrant, productive and ethical research environment;
  • shaping the University's response to a changing research landscape;
  • and enhancing Auckland's standing as a research-intensive, world-leading institution.

Associate Director Research Operations

The Associate Director, Research Operations assists in providing strategic functional leadership across the University’s research operations and service delivery functions. The AD translates research strategy into operational and service delivery and has primary responsibility for research products, operations and services across the University, its CoREs and Research Centres.

Research Portfolio Coordinator

The Research Portfolio Coordinator coordinates and facilitates strategic research projects, initiatives and events. The Research Portfolio Coordinator also promotes research recognition and reward opportunities, supports eligible researchers to develop high quality applications and coordinates internal research funding and award rounds.

Research Manager, Vision Mātauranga

The Research Manager, Vision Mātauranga supports our research community to better reflect and respond to the aspirations, contributions, or needs of Māori. In partnership with the University’s Kaiarataki and other key stakeholders, the Research Manager, Vision Mātauranga also facilitates the development and adoption of the University’s Vision Mātauranga research strategy.

Research Manager, Major Initiatives

The Research Manager, Major Initiatives manages large-scale (e.g. multimillion dollar, multi-institution) strategic initiatives to support the University in achieving its objective to increase success in securing and managing high value research funding initiatives which are reputationally, strategically and financially important to the University. The Research Manager, Major Initiatives also manages the internal research funding and awards portfolio including management of contestable application rounds, review panel evaluation processes and ongoing reporting on the use of these strategic funds.
