Centre for Asian & Ethnic Minority Health Research

Centre for Biodiversity and Biosecurity

Centre for Mathematical Social Sciences

Mission Statement: We are a group of researchers interested in applying mathematical and computational modelling to social sciences (particularly social choice and economics), centred at the University of Auckland, but with members also from Auckland University of Technology and Massey University. Our specialisations are in game theory, complexity theory, modal logic, abstract convexity, decision theory, social choice and voting, the theory of social networks and experimental economics.

Purpose: The centre’s research programme is focused on three broad areas: energy markets, resource and environment markets, and transport economics. The centre has important cross-disciplinary linkages with the School of Engineering, Engineering Science and the Transport Research Centre.
