Computational biology mixes tools from computer science with questions at the frontiers of understanding in biology.
Our research spans sophisticated computational and evolutionary analysis of genomes, RNA and proteins, through to the modelling of molecules, evolutionary processes, populations and ecosystems.
Modern biologists must be competent in using computers for their research, so we integrate an understanding of computational tools and what happens ‘under the hood’ into our research.
