Professional Development for Academic Staff
Professional Development is available through Organisational Development (OD) who offer a variety of learning opportunities for academic staff.
Organisational Development Core Areas
Organisational Development has three core areas of focus:
- To enable the development of strategic capabilities for academic staff as identified in Taumata Teitei
- To respond to emerging capability development priorities for academic staff
- To deliver core teaching development programmes
Teaching Catalyst Programme
This programme introduces academic staff to learning and teaching practices and policies at the University of Auckland. It is required as part of the continuation process for academics new to teaching at a tertiary level and recommended for all academics who are new to the University of Auckland. Tutor Training Workshops
These workshops provide practical strategies on planning and facilitating effective small-group teaching sessions and can be tailored to particular groups. Leadership Development Programmes
Organisational Development runs a number of programmes designed for current and emerging academic leaders including:

- Academic Leaders Programme
- Women in Leadership Programmes
