Whakaaroaro Reflect - survey on the experiences of teachers and postgraduate research supervisors during Semester One/Quarter Two 2020.

The University sought feedback from teaching staff to understand their experiences in Semester One/Quarter Two 2020.  This feedback is being carefully analysed and will feed into the Business Recovery Programme as well as strategic planning.

Who was invited to complete the survey?

All staff who taught or tutored on a course (including part-time, contract and casual staff), and/or who supervised a postgraduate research student were invited to take the survey.

How long was the survey?

The survey could be completed in 10-15 minutes.

Why did staff participate?

The survey was voluntary.  However, the University community worked, taught and learned in very difficult and challenging circumstances in Semester One/Quarter Two 2020 and this was an opportunity to reflect on and feed back to the University thoughts about individual staff experiences. The views of staff are critical as the University advances its Business Recovery Programme and plans for the future.

Are results confidential?

Responses are anonymous and response data will be securely stored.

Were staff given a chance to provide written comments?

Yes.  The survey had several questions requesting written comments.

Will I get a chance to see the results?

A summary report is available to download at the top of this webpage. To access the full results, staff with MicroStrategy access can go to the Strategic Management Reports Staff Intranet webpage.
