Sitting your exam
On the day of the exam, ensure you have a quiet study space set up, with good internet connection.
Your exam will be available via Canvas during your timetabled exam window. You may need to refresh the page at your exam start time.
You will be given an additional 30 minutes to allow for your reading time, as well as starting and submitting your assessment.
For a 2 hour exam, you will have 2.5 hours to complete and submit your exam, or 3.5 hours for a 3 hour exam.
If you submit after your exam’s finish time this will be flagged as a late submission and you will need to provide evidence to the Exams Office, such as screen shots, of why the submission was late. Penalties may be applied to late submissions, at the discretion of the examiner.
Canvas will accept late submissions for up to 30 minutes after your exam finishes.
Examples:
Exam start time | Exam length | Exam finish time (on-campus) | Exam finish time (Canvas) | Late submission* closes (Canvas) |
---|---|---|---|---|
9.15am | 2 hours | 11.30am | 11.45am | 12.15pm |
2.15pm | 3 hours | 5.30pm | 5.45pm | 6.15pm |
*Evidence will need to be provided if your exam is submitted after the finish time.
