We're here to help during exams!
We know exam time can be stressful, but do not fear – we're here to help! Across the University there are many different people and resources that are available to help you, including exam prep workshops and seminars, extended support team and library opening hours, loan devices, bookable spaces on campus, demo tests, wellbeing tips, and more.

Inspera online exams
Feeling out of the loop on what exams are going to look like this year as the University moves exams online using Inspera software? Visit the website for the latest information on Semester One exams, including the most recent emails to students with everything you need to know.
Demo Inspera before your exams
It is highly recommended you take a demo assessment, ahead of your exams, to ensure your device is compatible and you are familiar with the Inspera platform. It’s quick, easy and the best place to start when preparing for online exams.
Support from Libraries and Learning Services
The Te Tumu Herenga | Libraries and Learning Services team are a great place to get help and during the exam period and will have extended Library operating hours to provide you with a quiet and safe place to study or sit your exam. They have pulled together a suite of resources for students to prepare for exams and tests.
Te Tumu Herenga are also running Exam Preparation workshops until 28 May. These workshops will cover tips and tricks to help you prepare for your exams, as well as useful strategies to get you through exam day.
AUSA exam seminars
AUSA Exam Seminars are back! They have top-notch tutors available to refresh you on everything you need to know and they are free. These will run from 31 May – 3 June via Zoom.
Don’t forget that taking an online exam requires a desktop or laptop computer. One-day loan laptops for on-campus use are available through Library and Learning Services. If you need to borrow a device long-term for your online exams, fill out the Student Technology Support form and the University will help get you set up. Need help filling out the form? Don’t worry. Just visit your faculty student centre.
If you prefer a desktop computer, don’t have access to Wi-Fi, or just want to guarantee you’ll quiet place to sit your exam, we’ve organised bookable spaces across the University’s campuses for you. Different types of spaces are available, depending on your needs.
Remember though, an on-campus bookable space is just one option, and through Inspera you can take your exam wherever it’s best for you. Spaces throughout campus, including the libraries and commons, will be available as usual on a first come, first served basis.
Managing stress and wellbeing
Exams can be stressful and wrapping up the semester can sometimes feel like a marathon. The Whai Hauora | Be Well Team has put together a suite of resources especially for students to help take care of your mind, body, and spirit, as well as ways to get support from your community.
The Recreation Centre is hosting free Zoom workouts weekly. At least one class is on offer every day, ranging from yoga and barre to Zumba and HIIT. See what’s available and carve out some time to get active, destress, and move your body.
