Doctoral Careers Survey 2019
What is the Doctoral Careers Survey?
The Doctoral Careers Survey 2019 has now closed and we are analysing the results. We had an incredibly high response rate and would like to thank everyone who took the time to participate and all those who helped spread the word and encourage engagement.
The Doctoral Careers Survey is a survey run by the School of Graduate Studies at the University of Auckland. It is based on a US survey created by the Council of Graduate Schools (CGS), and used with their permission. The CGS survey is used by universities around the world, allowing for international benchmarking and analysis.
The aim of the survey is to understand the career preparation needs of our current doctoral candidates. We do this by taking a snapshot of the employment status and occupation of doctoral graduates three, eight and 15 years post-graduation, and comparing the career outcomes of University of Auckland doctoral degree holders internationally.
This information we gather will be used to help us improve the doctoral experience for current and future graduates.
Who can take part?
In 2019, this survey is open to those who graduated with a University of Auckland doctoral degree three, eight and 15 years ago - that is in 2004, 2011 or 2016. We will run further surveys in subsequent years to ensure we capture the experiences of all of our recent graduates.
If you think you are eligible to participate, but have not recieved an email invite then please contact Anna Vasilyeva using the details below.
