Information on access to Libraries and Learning Services during different alert levels.

Alert Level 1

Libraries and Learning Services operates as normal at Alert Level 1.

Alert Level 2

  • All libraries and information commons open for normal hours with a reduced building capacity.
  • Access to physical collections including Short Loan and Special Collections.
  • Courier service available for books if you can’t come to campus.
  • Chapters and articles can be
    scanned and emailed to you. Watch video on requesting chapters and articles (YouTube)
  • Online study skills development. See Learning essentials.
  • Support services for academic skills development, students with invisible learning disabilities, Māori and Pacific learners, and English language development move to Zoom. See Undergraduate resources and workshops.
  • Career Development and Employment Services move to Zoom

Alert Level 3

  • Limited study spaces open in Kate Edger Information Commons. Additional study spaces may open at Tai Tonga and Tai Tokerau.
  • Printing facilities available at Kate Edger Information Commons.
  • Libraries operate as click and collect only for reduced hours.
  • Courier service available for books if you can’t come to campus.
  • Chapters and articles can be scanned and emailed to you, including chapters from Short Loan books. Watch video on requesting chapters and articles (YouTube).
  • No overdue fines. No need to return your library books.
  • Online access to eBooks, journals, databases, TV, movies, radio and digitised archives through Libraries and Learning Services website
  • No access to Special Collections.
