About the International Office
Brett Berquist has over 25 years experience in the sector, in Europe, the US, and Asia, as academic staff and administrator leading international recruitment strategy, transnational education, ESL provision, campus-wide internationalisation strategy, and credit mobility. Prior to becoming Director International at the University of Auckland in 2015, he held senior roles in the sector in Michigan and France. He holds French and US passports and degrees in music, French, and linguistics.

Auckland Abroad Team (Study Abroad and Exchange)
We're here to make your Study Abroad and Exchange experience a positive one. We hope we have answered all your questions on the website but please don't hesitate to contact us for any further advice.
Sarah Sung is the Acting Auckland Abroad Manager and is responsible for overseeing inbound and outbound Exchange students as well as inbound Study Abroad students.
Jennifer Woronuk is the Auckland Abroad Officer responsible for outbound Exchange students.
Sherry Fan is the Exchange and Study Abroad Officer responsible for inbound Exchange and Study Abroad students.
Note: All student enquiries regarding incoming Study Abroad and Exchange students should first be directed to your exchange/study abroad coordinator at your home university.
International Student Support Team
Our team is available to answer questions for international students, and assist with immigration and visas, insurance, health, budgeting, accommodation, personal support and more.
Rebecca Walkinton, Suriati Razman, and Juliane Adamietz are International Student Advisers and are based in Old Choral Hall, City Campus.
Vtoria Turo is the International Student Insurance Administrator and can assist with insurance enquiries. Vtoria can be reached at the International Student Information Centre.
Oreen Almeida and Aye Mu are Information and Visa Officers and you can find them in the International Student Information Centre. They can help you with queries about student visas, and general enquiries.
