“I’ve been working as a content marketer since graduating. I got the job because of the experience I gained at the University in screen production, writing and storytelling.

“I really enjoyed how the courses I took challenged my way of thinking and exposed me to a variety of work styles. My BA influenced and shaped my creative practice, and most of all taught me to be flexible and open in my artistry.

I didn’t at all feel like I was treated differently as an international
student. I enjoyed learning about New Zealand culture and ... Kiwi humour!

“Studying at the University was so different to what I was used to, but so refreshing. I had to learn to think for myself and form my own opinions. That my voice could be heard at all was really inspiring for me.

“I found it pretty easy to settle in Auckland, and everyone I met at the University was so welcoming. I didn’t at all feel like I was treated differently as an international student. I enjoyed learning about New Zealand culture and making a few funny mistakes along the way, which were all met with great Kiwi humour!

“My advice to other international students coming to Auckland would be to just put yourself out there - say yes more often! There are so many opportunities and hidden gems at the University of Auckland, you just need to make the most of them.”
