James Bertram Scholarship for Asia
To support postgraduate students undertaking research with a focus on Asia, up to $50,000 for New Zealand citizens and permanent residents.

Applicable study: Postgraduate study that broadens the applicant’s understanding and engagement with Asia (see Note I)

Closing date: 30 June and 19 November

The main purpose of the Scholarships is to support postgraduate students studying at, or intending to study at, the University of Auckland and enable them to undertake study with a focus on Asia. The intention of the Scholarship is to facilitate a strong engagement with Asia. Funding can support a wide range of activities including field work, skills enhancement relevant to the project and research expenses.
How to apply
Scholarship applications will usually open around six weeks before the closing date. Please read the regulations carefully to be sure you are eligible before you apply.
