A $5,000 Scholarship to support a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Māori descent enrolled full-time in Part III of Part IV of a BE(Hons) in Civil Engineering.

The late Mark Ford was Chief Executive of Watercare from 1994 to 2009 and again from 2010 to 2014. This scholarship was established to acknowledge his outstanding service to Watercare and the water industry.
The main purpose of the Scholarship is to encourage and support a student of Māori descent undertaking study in Engineering at the University of Auckland.
