Wondering how Covid-19 will impact CDES services?
The CDES team are still open for business, and working hard to continue supporting you wherever you are!
These will now be conducted virtually, using Zoom.
Over the phone if that’s easier!
There is no change to how you book these, and all additional info is listed in MyCDES.
This will now happen online. CVs and cover letters can be submitted for review via the online CV check in MyCDES.
You can drop in each day 3-4.45pm via Zoom and share your electronic documents with a career development consultant.
If you have any career questions, please book an appointment through the appointment booking tab in MyCDES.
Workshops are listed on MyCDES - please register online, and use the Zoom link in the workshop description. If you can’t Zoom in, let us know by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org, and we can send you a recording of the workshop.
We have now added an alternative format for some of our career topics. These are half hour group ‘Career Chats’ involving ‘Top Tip’ and live Q&A.
We’ve added more great topics (including finding your career direction!). These have also now been combined with our workshops; offering a mix of online information and live Q&A / coaching sessions, to help you get ready for the world of work.
Stay tuned as we work with employers to look at alternative ways to connect with you. Check MyCDES events for updates!
And if you’re unsure of anything, please email us at email@example.com.
CDES staff will continue to provide career development support/activities for the students in your faculty.
CDES staff are also working alongside faculty staff to develop bespoke online career development workshops and events for the faculty including specific programmes and priority groups.
