Get Recruitment Ready; for Māori and Pacific students

We know the job application process can often be complicated, but with our new employer application series for Māori and Pacific students, they don’t have to be!

Over the next few weeks, various employers will be holding practical, hands-on workshops, and informal Q&A sessions to help build your confidence as you prepare applications for upcoming graduate and internship roles.

With many employers recruiting through March and April, this workshop series will ensure you have time to prepare and apply before the closing dates.

With a variety of sessions taking place, topics will cover such things as:

  • The importance of networking and how to be remembered by employers (for the right reasons)
  • Understanding the common application mistakes employers see from Māori and Pacific students and how to overcome these
  • Top tips for psychometric testing and how to navigate the process
  • How to put your personality into your CV and cover letter (the do’s and don’ts)
  • The growing popularity of case studies and group interviews and how to prepare for them

Most of the sessions will be taking place via Zoom, making it super easy to dial in from wherever you are! Check out our full schedule and register via the links below.

Plus - don’t forget to book in for our Career Talanoa with our Māori and Pacific team Pepe, Lorraine and Willie (from the Business school) who will be available to meet with you all and answer any of your questions to help you prepare for the sessions ahead!
