MFAT Information Session

If you are of Māori or Pacific descent, this is your chance to influence policy and make an impact in the community.

Date: Thursday 18 July
Time: 12-2pm
Venue: Kate Edger Information Commons, Level 1, Workshop 101 (opposite UBIQ bookstore)

Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) are on the lookout for their next intake of Foreign Policy Graduates!

Our people are diplomats, negotiators, analysts, and advisers based in over 50 countries across the globe. We work to provide answers to global challenges that affect New Zealanders.

This year we are changing certain requirements for our intake, for example, applicants DO NOT need a double degree or post grad qualification. We'll consider degrees from any discipline as long as you're interested in the work we do.

Diversity of thought is what we're after in our people. We want our recruits to have a balance of skills including people skills. Some work experience will help - it doesn't matter where. Cross cultural skills are also important to us.

It's more important that our entry-level grads have a balance of skills. For example, great with people, have cross cultural skills, and some work experience - it doesn't matter where.

And for your friends and family who might be interested, you don't have to have graduated recently. As long as you don't have more than 3 years in a similar role.

We will be on campus with the CDES team, come and join us for an information session!
