Postgraduate Certificate in Health Sciences

The PGCertHSc offers a postgraduate qualification in an area of interest or where you have a professional involvement. It is taught in a flexible mode with block courses at Middlemore Hospital.

It is a beginning postgraduate qualification. It is particularly suitable for students who have been out of study for some time or who want to see what postgraduate study is about.

Specialisations

The following specialisations are available to MIT nursing graduates:

  • Advanced Nursing
  • Mental Health Nursing

Who can apply?

The PGCertHSc is open to MIT students who:

  • have completed the MIT Bachelor of Nursing or an equivalent approved professional qualification
  • have at least two years of relevant work practice

Credit

If you complete the PGCertHSc, you may credit the points to the Postgraduate Diploma in Health Sciences.
