AEM Editor

Learn to create and maintain content on AEM templates used on the University's website.

This workshop provides an introduction to Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and how to use it to create and maintain web content on the University of Auckland's website using the new web templates.

Please note that this workshop is different to the AEM Editor (Classic) workshop which uses classic web templates e.g. staff intranet www.staff.auckland.ac.nz.

This workshop is only open to University of Auckland and UniServices staff and is one of the prerequisite workshops for Editor and/or Publisher level access to the web content management system, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).

  • Introduction to the Front page, Links page and Content page templates
  • Creating and editing a basic content page
  • Adding introduction and body text
  • Adding files to the DAM
  • Adding images, captions and titles, the importance of alt text
  • Adding links and using the Call to Action (CTA) button
  • Using the File Download component
  • Using and managing tables
  • Send to Publisher through workflow / Publisher responsibilities
  • AEM support

Suitable for

This workshop is only open to University of Auckland and UniServices staff who are responsible for editing University of Auckland website pages www.auckland.ac.nz using the new templates in AEM.

You must attend both the AEM Editor workshop and Web Writing workshops before you can request access to AEM pages on the University website www.auckland.ac.nz. If you are also responsible for maintaining content using the classic templates, e.g. staff intranet, you must also attend an AEM Editor (Classic) workshop.

Once you have completed both the AEM Editor and Web Writing workshops and you are responsible for creating and publishing forms in AEM, you may like to register for an AEM Forms workshop.

PC Only. Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) is used. You can find more information including training videos and advanced user guide on the web support and training page.

Cost

Scheduled workshops are free for University of Auckland and UniServices staff.

Where a scheduled workshop is not available, one-on-one or small group workshops can be arranged at a cost to your department. Please email us to make arrangements.
