Undergraduate study in Spanish

What you can study in Spanish

You can study Spanish language from beginner to advanced levels. You can also explore the cultures of Spain and Latin America from the early modern period to the present day. There are courses on Spanish and Latin American literature, film, art, music and popular culture, as well as Spanish linguistics.

Structuring your major in Spanish

You can take a major in Spanish as one of your two BA majors (a double major). You will need to pass at least 120 points (eight courses) towards each of your majors, including at least 45 points (three courses) at Stage III.

Taking a Module in Spanish

If you would like to study Spanish alongside your two BA majors, you can complete a Module.

A Module is an optional grouping of three courses on a particular theme which enables you to add extra value to your Bachelor of Arts.
