Mammography

Overview

Mammography postgraduate study is available for those working professionally in medical imaging departments and breast screening departments, and also for other interested professionals who wish to broaden their knowledge base of mammography. Students in non-clinical roles may take the course in Mammographic Technology towards generic programmes in Health Sciences.

Areas of study

Areas include mammographic technology and its application; mammographic imaging appearances; technique evaluation and adaptation; and reflection on clinical practice. Courses in this subject area are offered in a flexible learning format (online delivery) with an oprional annual Medical Imaging symposium also held at the School of Medical Sciences, Grafton Campus.
