Frances Valintine is an Education Futurist committed to shifting education practice, policy and understanding to contextualise it within a contemporary global environment. She is the founder of The Mind Lab by Unitec, a learning laboratory commitment to technology, science and discovery.
She has been an education leader for the past 20 years with a focus on creativity, innovation and digital and the alignment between education and industry. In 2014 Frances won the best social enterprise award in the Asia Pacific judged by Sir Richard Branson and Steve Wozniak. The Mind Lab by Unitec has been recognised by multiple awards for its contribution to education, teaching and student progress.
Frances sits on the Education New Zealand board, the NZ Tech board and leads the national EdTech and New Zealand ‘Women in Technology’ initiatives.
