General Education degree requirements
This page describes how many General Education courses are required for each degree programme, and the best time to take them.

Students wishing to apply to the MBChB after their first year must take one General Education course in Year one. Students admitted to a MBChB will not be able to take a second General Education course. Students continuing in a BHSc may take their second General Education course at any time. Courses in Schedule E will not be available to students taking a Chemistry course. | |

This course is dual purpose: it counts as a General Education course for all students, and at the same time is one of the two compulsory law courses in LLB Part I. LLB Part I students may enrol in a second General Education course in Part I. If they leave the second General Education course until later, it is taken as a course additional to LLB Parts II - IV. Conjoint students should seek advice from the faculty of their non-Law component degree about when they should take their second General Education course. | |
