Minimum overseas entry requirements
If you gained your university entrance qualification outside New Zealand and wish to study an undergraduate level programme at The University of Auckland, you must have your qualification approved for admission. The table below sets out acceptable qualifications from the countries that provide most of our international students.
If your university entrance qualification is not included in the table below, admission will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Undergraduate
As well as the minimum University Entrance requirements, international students must fulfil additional entry requirements to gain admission to some degree programmes at The University of Auckland. These additional requirements vary, depending on the programme you are applying for.

Postgraduate
If you are an international student interested in postgraduate study at The University of Auckland, acceptance into a postgraduate programme is normally based on academic merit and is at the discretion of the Associate Dean (Postgraduate) of the relevant faculty. English language requirements
If English is not your first language, you will be required to provide satisfactory evidence of your English language proficiency. For details of specific English language requirements for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, see English language requirements.
