Donate your glasses to Samoa

Our 2017 Young Alumna of the Year, optometrist Erna Takazawa, is in need of pre-loved glasses so she can give a new lease on life to people in Samoa with poor eyesight.

Please help us to support her work by sending or dropping off glasses in good condition that you no longer need to:

• Alumni Relations office at University House, 19A Princes St, City Campus.

We're happy to receive glasses throughout July, and you’re welcome to join us August 3 to get the glasses wrapped and ready for shipment.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Optometry, Erna took the road less followed to become Samoa’s first fully-qualified optometrist. She has had a massive impact in the Pacific Islands, changing many lives for the better through her expertise and donated equipment and glasses.
