Scholarships and prizes available to students in Māori Studies at the University of Auckland.

Undergraduate

Faculty of Arts Ngāti Whātua o Ōrakei Scholarships

These scholarships are intended to encourage Ngāti Whātua o Ōrakei students to study for a BA in the Faculty of Arts.

Postgraduate

University of Auckland Māori Postgraduate Scholarships

These scholarships are offered annually to Māori students enrolled for an approved masters degree, an approved bachelors honours degree or, in the case where no honours degree is available, an approved postgraduate diploma.

Te Wānanga o Waipapa Honours and Masters Scholarship for Māori Students

A $5,000 Scholarship for Māori students enrolled in a postgraduate honours or masters degree in Te Wānanga o Waipapa in the Faculty of Arts.

Taitea Masters Award in Creative Research

A scholarship of up to $10,000 for New Zealand citizens and permanent residents from one or more of the University’s equity groups who are enrolled in a research masters programme with a substantial creative component.
